What to do?

I am interested in becoming a pilot and I am trying to decide the best way to go out doing so. I live in Houston Texas and I am currently trying to find a good flight school in Houston. I have been looking at Anson Air, does anyone know anything about Anson Air or know any good flight schools in Houston? I have also been looking at atpflightschools.com and I was wondering if anyone has any information about it. Thanks

You should get plenty of responses on this board but there are a lot of factors, do you have a lot of money, I believe doing it over a short period of time is the best, your area has a lot of FBO's, you might consider popping over to the Hobby Airport and talk face to face with some corporate pilots. I'm a Houston based CFI. As stated before, there are a lot of FBO's out here. The question is what kind of schedule to you want to keep and which airport is most convenient, professional, and equipped.

Of what you have asked and can only say, I know ATP is a good school. There are some rotten opinions, but those are a very few bad experiences.

Ask more specific questions and I can give you more specific answers. Otherwise, just drop by you nearest Airport and talk to an available CFI there. Honestly yes, we all think we are the best, but any decent CFI will be more than happy to help a fellow pilot with objective information and guidance. Not for the business, but for the profession.
