Hey Guys,

I have my commercial multi engine with instrument and 270 flight hours. Have not flown since 2004. I went back to work at my old job, worked a bunch of overtime and paid off my flight and bachelors degree loan. I want to get back into aviation. What is my best course of action? I have read a few posts about companies hiring low time pilots into the regionals. Thanks for your comments.

depends on a lot of factors... get proficient and your best bet would probably be to get your cfi and build time that way... or there is always traffic watch and towing banners, or dropping skydivers
good luck

Get your CFI, CFII and MEI to get current and find 100 hours of ME time. After that, begin reading the gouges and apply to all of the regionals.

You should be able to land a job within a year.

I was in a similar position.

Get your CFI and CFII, make sure you have a BFR and IPC. Instruct...there are a TONS of jobs out there right now.
