what planes newhires get at TransStates?

Does anyone know any info on Trans States Airlines (pay scale, if you can upgrade at all with the CQFO stuff going on, how many planes/classes they're planning on, how's the moral in the company, etc)?

Does anyone know what airplanes the TSA new hires will be assigned ?

They hire into whatever aircraft they need. The ATRs are almost gone. They are getting more ERJs for UAL, so there are spots there. They have a ton of J41s (an excellent airframe-great avionics). Apparently, they are to fly Metroliners for UAL starting up soon. Your aircraft may be changed during class after the assignment. You will not know ahead of time.

The whole hiring and staffing situation at Trans States is getting uglier and uglier. There are a lot of CQFOs being hired and the current FOs who have been waiting many years for upgrade are getting pissed. The company waited until the last second to start classes and we will be way short starting in October. The company is now saying they have to hire CQFOs because they can's staff the airplanes without it- one training event instead of two (one FO to captain and one new hire to FO). They knew well in advance and held off on training and this is now screwing the current FOs who are stuck for a lot longer without upgrade.

No one has said anything about CQFOs in the jets yet, but they are in the J-41s for sure. I'm guessing a lot of new hires will go to the jets, screwing over the prop FOs who want to transition to the jet. I also seriously doubt that there will be any metros on the property at any time- BS rumors just to see how far and quick they'll spread. The ATRs will be down to 2 by November so I doubt any new hires will go there. Good luck to anyone interviewing, but if you are hired as CQFO you will be despised by just about every current FO- through no fault of your own- just the company breaking the current contract and screwing the FOs.

I think the TSA Metro rumor is in the same catagory as the Corporate Airlines ERJs from CoEx.

The Metro rumor was started on Tsalounge to stir the pot. I've also heard that they will be flying Barons between STL and SUS.
