3 full stop landings every 90 days. does that mean the tires have to stop or the plane. hey you could always barely touch the ground with the tires locked up and save yourself time and gas.

Let us know when you plan to attempt this - - we'll alert the media.

heavy_d, I'm told there is no dumb question, I think you just challenged that statement. I agree with Tony, let us know. I havent taken pictures of any thing really dumb lately. Good luck.

I can't believe you even posted a question like this what's the point.....

next time you see a cop skid thru a stop sign and then ask him if you should get a ticket

Won't work if you have anti-skid on your aircraft.

I don't think you need to worry about the anti-skid going off if you are worrying about the 3 takeoff and landing rule... unless you are talking about bouncing...

It is 3 low approaches at or above 1000 ft AGL at a controlled airport without operating control tower in IMC @ night as the sole manipulator of the radios.

Don't believe anyting these other guys are trying to tell you; they're just f*cking with you.

Boy, if you where my student..

I have heard that the helio corporation used to claim that the helio courier could be landed with the brakes locked.

My $0.02 is that you if you bounce it, every time the wheels hit it's a landing/takeoff w/ a flight in a portion of the traffic pattern. It goes, final, landing, takeoff, upwind, final, ect...

With the 7k ft runway here, I don't even need to practice downwind or base in order to keep day current!

Heck, I've known that for a long time. I was once watching a criminal trial. Simple assault case. The defendant was representing himself. When cross-examining the victim he asked:

You can't identify me! How can you identify me? You were looking the other way when I hit you!

Of course, whether the landing question is stupid or not depends on whether it was serious. Hopefully it wasn't.

..I would just let him stay at home and think of dumb questions. In the mean time I would let him pay me to do all of his training and take his written test and pass his checkride. Then I would fill out his logbook with somebody else'd name and deny everything.

And we thought HIS question was stupid-- guess I got him licked ; )

As far as i know day currency can be maintained with touch and goes. On night landings it must be full stop. Anyone know if to be considered a full stop, do you actually have to leave the runway? Or does 3 Stop and Goes qualify?
