For those of us trying to understand pilot contracts please explain the SCOPE clause in words that I can explain to non airline folks...Thanks in advance!!!
 
That the best you could do? Come on someone was going to say it, I just got it out of the way.
 
Personally, I prefer Listerine.
 
Scope is wording contained within the collective bargaining agreement that is intended to define what work (flying) is to be accomplished by the signatory pilot group and what work can or cannot be accomplished by outside entities (such as contractors).
