Now I know I am not the only one that could not get a job because of not having enough of this or that time, not enough multi, not enough retract or something. Next time someone say they cant insure you in their Aztec, Senaca or Bonanza without having 1500 TT/500ME and a ATP tell them to look at this and shove it. http://www.eclipseaviation.com/customer_care/insurance/

I could not believe this myself until I read it. I could barely get insured in a single engine turbine Meridian at 2000 + hours with SIMCOM training, but a 500 hour Private with little multi can get insured in a eclipse jet for almost the same cost. Anyone know the mins for Dayjet, they cant use that "we can't hire you for insurance purposes" crap now. Everyone fly safe.

anyone can be insured regardless of experience. its just that companies don't wanna pony up the extra money required to insure someone with less experience then what is asked of the insurance company.

Bear in mind that Eclipse has a long history of lying to the public, everything from orders for a thousand jets from one operator who was going to make the air taxi service of the future, to their powerplants, to their production schedules, costs, end prices, etc.

That aside, any operator certifies to the insurance company the pilot whom they submit, and any operator really is the one who states that they'll take the risk of hiring you.

Ever stop to think that the operator just didn't want to hire you? Either you were too inexperienced or just someone they didn't want on their payroll...and that they were being diplomatic about it.

You go right ahead. Call the operator. Tell the operator they're lying, that it's all bull...give the operator to say, "Well, you're right. I could probably insure you, and the truth is that I really don't want you around. You're not good enough. You're too inexperienced. Your eyes are too close together. You should bathe more. Your parents were clearly cousins, and your being here today is evidence enough both that Darwin was right, and that cousins shouldn't marry. I tried to let you down by telling you outright that the insurance wouldn't cover you, but you caught me, and I'm sorry. I can't hire you because you're an idiot, and I'm not willing to take a risk on an idiot like yourself. Sorry you had to hear it from us, but you did call it on us, and we pride ourselves in being truthful only after being tactful. Try not to let the door hit you hard(er that we would like) on the way out."

Go get ummm avbug!!! You have a point thats the way it is and will be. I know If I were an employer again I would not spring the extra 10 to 20k so I can insure a less experienced employee!!!

Did I interview with you once? ;)

I don't know. Do you still have glass embedded in your forehead, bite marks on your arm, and an indellible boot mark somewhere near your tailbone?

It may have been me...if I was having a good day.
