I hope this link works. I've read an article in Bloomberg about how the DOJ's attempt to block the AA/US merger is delaying Bombardier's C Series order for American Airlines. The only problem is AA hasn't really ordered them. Republic has. 40 of them. This article above explains how they can use them in a code share through One World Alliance or STAR. How many planes could a regional fly under code share? These are the CS-300's I believe as well. 140-160 seaters. Sorry if this has already been brought up. I don't hear anybody talking about this much.
 
That article is over 18 months old, and the ideas discussed therein are nothing new.
