They fully expect a counter. That's how negotiations work, remember? The only time you should jump on a deal is when it's "priced to sell" and you have looked at enough comps to know you're getting a fair offer. Even then, there's more than money to consider. What about the infamous fine print which is conspicuously missing in this case. (That alone is a red flag). Would the work rules be balanced? Or stacked against you? You can't accurately judge what isn't there--and the FLOPS know that.
