I have two FMS's with two GPS's attached to them (Lear 60). So I would think I could file /E but in the equipment list (stated in the AIM) of /E it states (2) IRU's. I have no IRU's. So what am I? Can I use /E anyway?

The point is not critical but just wondering what the answere realy is.

The dual-collins wood-burning FMS airplanes (non-approach certified) should be /I, while the dual-universals are /G. Some arrivals require you to be /G or similar to fly them (JAIKE into TEB, for example) and I'll file /G so as not to get the crazy victor-airway routing.

Unfortunately because we can't do approaches with the dual-collins setup we are no better than a King RNAV to the FAA! :)

Looks like you're /G, also don't forget your FMS's have to have VNAV capability to file /E,/F.

Well actually you shouldn't file /G unless the airplane & crew can fly a GPS approach procedure. Some dual FMS systems cannot....like one of the available FMS systems for the LR60.

Obviously this is symantics but some FMS systems are more capable than others...
