looks like an E145 cockpit in the background, maybe a DCI carrier?
 
What's the big deal here?

The fact that CNN says "major US airline" and ExpressJet is only a national category airline with 274 jets?

Or his length of time being a pilot?

Just trying to figure this out...I don't see anything exciting or notable.

Im guessing its the fact that he flies a jet smaller than any mainline jet. XJT is now part of Skywest/ASA, and the combined entity is 7000+ pilots and 700+ aircraft.
