My fiance is going on a trip and I needed to purchase the yield fare over the phone. The agent who answered was in a call center in India and had no idea what I was talking about and was 100% unhelpful....didn't know what a travel companion was, hadn't heard of a yield fare and read to me from a script.
What a load of crap. Something that used to take 5 min is now a big hassle because someone on the Deltanic thought that this was a good way to save money.
If I was a revenue passenger, I would be mad as heck...Full service airline my a$s. Oh that's right, it's all the pilot's fault...they had no choice but to ship those jobs overseas.
PS. I had him transfer me to ATL and they completed the entire transaction in about 5 min.
