Anyone know what the average starting pay is for a SIC in a Westwind (fulltime not daily)

Thanks

I would say the low side would be low $20K and up, and not more then upper $30K on the high side. It looks like you have some solid light jet time so that should help when negotiating. Just remember the TFE 731 burn more gas on the ground then the Cessna engines, and the guys you will be flying will probably come from the 20 series Lears which are fuel critical as soon as start up. LOL.

I beg to differ here...and a lot depends on the outfit and where you are looking?

A decent reputable outfit wont pay you less than 55K to start.
Typed competent upgradeable SIC's on Westwinds made 60-70K where I worked 5-6 years ago, they a little more today I hear..
PICs 80-100K.

This was major metro area in Northeast.

20K on a Westwind? jeesus....since when did NetJets start buying Westwinds?

Since we're talking about Westwind pay, what should a PIC get at a big 135 operator in Los Angeles?

Canoe SIC Pay

Really,
55k for an out of date, flying 135, for reputable operator.

In my opinion not to many reputable operators are flying the bagel bomber anymore.

About 30k to start, topping out around 45k for an SIC.

Good luck

There are a lot of reputable operators flying the Westwinds, all over the country. SIC starting pay should be in line with your experience. However, I would say, on average, at a good company, Part 135, starting pay should be around $50-55. Typed SICs and PICs should be able to expect $60-70. From my epxerience this is right in the middle of the scale and maybe leaning to the higher side. For Part 135, that's about right, though. Don't let anyone talk you into $20k a year - I did it, I regret it.
