... How the heck do you get them to even acknowledge you? This is getting silly. I have all the time they want and I can't even get anyone to call me back.

I hear they lost just their Astra Captain and Co-Pilot, and one of their King Air Captains, and another King Air First Officer is leaving, and they won't even call me back.

Anyone have any hints? I will even pay for my own training if that is what it takes. I need a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to help you until I read the part about you paying for your own training. Now you're on your own.

Keep bugging them, maybe take a drive over there, also check out Pacific Jet, and Sunquest out of VNY.

And if you are paying you really don't have a job. A job is where you make money for the labor. You might be better off saving the money, flying a 172 to stay instrument current and keep up your search.

Good luck.

Don't do it lynne, there are a lot of creative ways to get a job, PFT is not one of them. for instance, have them hold a $1000 a month from your salary and after you've been there a year you get it all back with interest. This should only work for your first type with the company, all other training is the companies responsibility.

I know the astra type is expensive, so make the company feel comfortable that you'll be around for a while after you get trained. be honest.
why are you reading these posts when you should be down that office with your resume. good luck!!!

You're kidding, right? There are pilots from WCC who read this board. I hope your name's not really Lynne.

That's either really funny or really mean.

You must be a contract pilot right? Cause no full time pilot would pay for their own training right? right? Aarrggggh

Are you kidding me! Please tell me this is a joke!

Just hoof it over to Hollywood with your kneepads. You'll be called the same thing either way, but you'll make a better living.

Well hell, if your going to PFT, I've got a job offer for ya; and you won't even need to PFT. I'm looking for a C150 PIC!

Here's what I'm thinking. I'll go down to the local FBO and rent a Cessna, we can go up, I'll let you fly for a few minutes, then afterwards you simply have to complete your post flight duties!

Your post flight duties will getting down on your knees and sucking up some dicknity for this PROFESSION!

I'm beginning to think psysicx is just asking these questions to be a pain.

You are putting the cart before the horse. You don't even have your private pilot's license yet, and you keep bugging everyone here for info on jobs you won't be qualified for in several years.

Go get the ratings, get some experience, and when you hit 300 hours we'll help you get a job. Until then, get off the computer, go study and actually fly an airplane.

He mentioned in another post that he has about 1000 hrs and is in college right now. Although questions are welcomed, I think he's gone way above an average number of them especially for someone with 1000 hrs.

I guess updating his profile to reflect his time/qualifications just isn't in the cards which leads me to believe he doesn't have 1000 hrs. Or even any ratings.

Sad...
