I heard you guys while I was cruising over WV last night. We know many cabin smoke emergencies have occurred with quite a different ending.
Mega-kudos on handling that emergency and getting it on the ground in HTS. My hats off to ya.
Way to dodge that Pikeville offer from center. As if trying to see out the window and an O2 mask was hard enough. Add VMC conditions at night in the WV hills with an Overcast sky and few lights to shadow the terrain. Sometimes the closest airport is not the best. Tough call from Center to even suggest it.
Anyway, your fellow Piedmont crews ought find out who you are and provide brisk pats on the back. You have done them proud. I most certainly am and I know the other 9 SOB's had many huge thanks as well.
