How many times do we have to keep doing this. This is Kennedy and delta has buses there, let them off the dang airplane and cancel the flight. The captains do have a choice they just chose not to care. Pilots need to grow a set and stand up once in awhile.
 
As an American now working for an airline in Japan I have to say our airline system is truely embarrassing.
Along with our health care system, these two need be government regulation.

It is not uncommon to be 50 or so deep for departure. God forbid there is a little rain. I was in line with over 100, I repeat 100 planes the other night. We burned an additional 12,000 lbs of fuel. Good thing we are ACMI.

Yeah our health care sucks, we only have the best in the world despite what all you people say. You want to see it get bad just wait until the gov't takes it over then you'll see a bad system.
 
The best health care in the world... for those who can afford it.

The airlines are just begging to have Washington involved in this mess and when those guys/gals get hold of it they will totally screw it up and everybody will lose. I'd rather deal with a canceled flight than a flight delayed by 6-7 hours while I'm in the aircraft on the ground.

It's a shame it's all so messed up.

Oh yes, the government does such an efficient and effective job we should regulate all aspects of society.
The government should only be responsible for our defense. All other aspects should be private.
Gee, I wonder why UPS and FedEx are so successful.....

Don't worry folks, as soon as Michael Moore fixes our lousy health care system (with a little help from Cuba) I'm sure he will come to the rescue of the airline industry.
 
It's amazing to me how many people in this country want the gov't to do everything for them. All of you people that want this go ahead and leave this messed up country so the rest of us can still have the little freedom that is left. There are plenty of jobs out there that provide health care and if people are too lazy to get off their asses and work that's not my problem. Canada has national healtcare and it sucks compared to our health care. I give up on people in this country since so many want communism so they can sit on their fat asses while the rest of work and pay for everything.

It also amazes me what people want insurance to pay for. Does car insurance pay for gas or oil changes? We use car and homeowners insurance when something goes pretty damn wrong, but we expect health insurance to pay for every freakin' sniffle. No wonder it's screwed up.

And we have a winner! What sells as on a campaign? This does: Your lot in life sucks, but it's not your fault. It's Joe's fault. Joe has stuff, but it's just because he's lucky. I'll take Joe's stuff and give it to you in exchange for your vote. But I won't actually do anything when I get to DC except squawk. And take stuff from Joe. And not give it to you. Just vote for me.

I get pissed just thinking about it.....

Fedex and UPS are successful because they don't get paid for flights like this. Maintenance delay + crew rest delay = free priority freight. One he!! of a motivator for the bean-counters.....
