Just got ripped off there a few days ago. My owner took a limo to a friends house, and the FO and I took a 30 min cab ride. Originally quoted as $50 total, but once we got there it was $50 EACH. The owner eventually paid for it, but still a rip off, and make sure you get something in writing or just watch out.

Having had the pleasure of overseeing cabs as part of my law enforcement career, may I make a few suggestions.
Ask to see the drivers cab permit and supervisor immediately. If he makes threats to call the police offer to assist in that matter. He/she does not really want this to happen. Obtain receipts for all charges, and file a complaint with the cab authorities. Also verify all charges up front next time. Take care.

Great advice. Evidently this is a problem at HTO because one of my Flexjet buddies had the same thing happen to him - bait and switch. It was a woman cabbie - so watch out if you fly into HTO!
