The ALPA BOD 401K vote broke down to mainline vs regional. Except that the Mesaba MEC voted along the lines the mainline. Did they vote this way to please the NWA MEC, or did the pilot's of Mesaba convince their MEC to vote this way?

The majority of pilots I talked to at Mesaba were firmly against the 401K proposal... It would seem the reps voted with the national MEC and against the local constituitents... but then again I am not a rep and don't get all the feedback they do......

I guess ALPA is missing that $11 Mil a year they used to get from US??

ALPA now represents more regional pilots than "Major" type pilots, time to reorganize ALPA to reflect who they represent.....

It for sure was NOT the pilots of XJ who convinced their MEC to vote this way. The MEC tried to convince the XJ pilot group that ALPA Nationals "snake oil" sales pitch for 401K dues was being well received from the XJ pilot group. Most of the XJ pilot group called Bulll shlt on the proposal and saw it for what it was. No idea why the XJ MEC was so on board with ALPA national wanting to dip digger into our pockets? ALPA national can take their failed proposal and stick it up their a$$.
