Has anyone ever received a "warning letter" from the FAA? Last November I overflew a prop governor in my Part 135 job and the FSDO called today saying they're going to issue me this Letter.

Well, I'm sure this goes on my record, but I have an interview next week and wondering if I need to disclose this under the "accident, incident, violation" part...

You don't have the letter yet right? So why say anything until (if) you get it. Why blow an interview over something that may or may not even show up? The FAA are know to say one thing and do another. I wouldn't sweat it.

I got a warning letter in 1999. Applied to 4 regionals. 1 hired me, then put me on "hold" then rejected me.

Get a letter from the FAA (if you can, it'll take you some time....) saying what happened and how professional you were in the handling of this matter.

Be honest, it is on your record for 2 years, then it's automatically expunged.

good luck

Depends

There are several letters you can get from the FAA or FSDO. One of them is a LOI or Letter of Investigation. IF this is what you recieved all that means is that they feel there is something to investigate. This does not mean it is a violation. Many "barks" by the FAA end here because to go through their legal department for a violation is more frustrating for them then it would be for you.

Just call the local FSDO and ask to see what is on your record. It is your right. Remember when you go there to ask, you get more flies with sugar than Sh!t, so be nice and they probably wont make you go through the whole request song and dance.
