I don't think either of them are in the hiring mode this week.

To expand just a little. Starbucks just hired a new pilot. Furloughed UAL guy that has bypassed recall. Started in the Challenger. In his early 30's and very sharp. Local SEA guy. Graduated from Princeton so you may get my drift. All new pilots at Starbucks start at the bottom as a newbie F/O.

Vulcan has just hired two pilots. One came with a GV background and the other had a GEX background. Both had around 6,000+ time and extensive international experience. Both of these pilots were hired off the street as Captains and should be released into that role after some operational indoc.

So that is indicitive of what it takes to get hired at either of these companies. Hope it helps some.

Tend to agree with this post. Some of you guys are spring loaded to the ambush position. The guy asked pretty straight forward question and gets hamered because of a technical error. It's a good thing no one is grading my spelling, else I would be afraid to post anything. This ain't an english or computer class, it's about aviation............I think?
