VP and Chief Pilot at Virgin America goes to Spirit Airlines?

I heard that VP/Chief Pilot Joe Houghton of Virgin America is now at Spirit Airlines.

Anyone know when he left or why he left Virgin?

He left Virgin 6-10 months ago to be involved with a startup... he did not at that time, leave to go to Spirit, though maybe his plans have changed.

There are a myriad of reasons of why he could have left Virgin... truth is, only he and his higher ups really know the truth.
