They hired their initial cadre of check airmen and I presume they have been doing the initial qualification and training over the last couple of months. I would expect that they will be involved in proving runs in the near future. Hiring for key station, training and headquarters staff positions is still open on their website. Based upon the progress thus far, interviews for line pilots could be forthcoming later in the year. Class dates will then be set to coincide closely with airplane deliveries and commencement of operations. It started out slowly but appears to be picking up a head of steam.
That's right, I have applied! It's mostly speculative, but I'd like to go through the process just to see how far I get. Something irresistable about ground-floor opportunities and new ventures. No word on pay or hire dates yet. It can't do any harm to see if I can get an interview. Obviously, if the pay is a joke, I can't see taking the job even if it is offered. At least not while I am employed and can allmost pay my bills!
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens. Meanwhile, I keep grinding away in the little jet on 24/7 call. (with a few breaks here and there.)
