Virgin America to tow planes to runway?

To my knowledge this has not been announced, yet I did read an article some time ago that referenced Virgin Atlantic possibly doing this. My guess is that who ever did the research for this story probably didn't know there was a difference between the two, or wasn't paying enough attention to what they were reading.
 
I used to see United towing their 747's to the runway at ORD. Although their motivation wasn't environmental consciousness, but fuel consciousness. I suspect that Virgin's true motivation is closer to United's than they're willing to admit.

Remember, they are trying to get the publics support, and it sounds better when it is for the environment.
 
OR.........
They know that they pay pilots from engine start and this is a way to keep pilot's from making $ on taxi-out and for sitting at the end of the RWY waiting for sequence and delays!!!
