My wife and I will be traveling next week to Oregon to visit family. We are also taking are little dog Petey. Anything that I need to know about traveling non-rev with pets? Since he only weighs 5pnds (toy Pomeranian), he will be riding up top with us. Do airlines charge employees a fee for taking a pet? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

I don't think they'll charge a fee but you will need to get the wee pooch an itty bitty pet carrier that will fit under the seat. If he's a good little ankle biter and doesn't raise a bunch of heck, the FA probably won't even notice. I have a buddy that takes his toy poodle along in one of those small soft-sided carriers that looks more like luggage than a pet taxi. He is an FO for ASA so I guess DAL is cool about it. Some FAs get a bit grumpy if you let them out of the carrier but most actually like dogs. Just remind your little Cujo to leave his nail file at home.
Have a nice trip.
