I did some time at Atsugi on exchange, but it was as an F-4 puke and well before you time.

Your post is cool. In 1995, I checked-out as a DC-9 captain at NWA and my OE instructor was one of my plane captains from the early 80's at Kaneohe Bay! We had a great trip.

Congratulations on sticking with it. I hope your career is a long and rewarding one!

I was an AT3 Final Checker on the Indy from 1993-1994 for VQ-5, probably did a few fod walkdowns with you on the boat.

Later and Congrats on the career

va 115

Those were the days Atsugi, the INDY, Rippongi, A6 Intruders, Great guys on a ship that never docked. The parties, the long days, Eagles baby!

Where are all the Va 115 Eagles? Talk to me it's Hyperboy the crazy Plane Captain? Lets chat!

The A-6 Intruder Ruled!!!

RIP to "Hambone" & "Chowda", I will never forget you both!

I followed a similar path, I was a Hornet Plane Captain w/ VMFA-122 94-98 and now flying 135's with the reserves and got a corporate gig as well. I have even had the honor of dragging my old squadron back from the desert.

My my. Mr. Catfish. Long time no hear bro. Glad to see you have found life after the Nav. It has been an interesting few years for me but all is good now and very happy. PM me and I'll tell you more.

Mr Hyperboy, for your thread, VAW-115 also - '94-'97. Agree with it all. Best friends and memories I have made in my career.

Former S-3 AMSAN to S-3 driver (3 years in Atsugi), to F/A-18E driver (in vFa-115 Eagles) to 747-400 FO. Sometimes busting your hump on the ramp turning wrenches pays off!
