The Marriott and Hilton have clock radios with a mp3 jack to plug in the Ipod to listen...

Most TV's have a red/white RCA plug and two channels: Input 1 and 2.

Using this cable...

Would it be possible to listen to Ipod/MP3 player using the TV speakers on channel Input 1 or 2?

Yes? No? maybe?

Ahhh, finally a question I'm qualified to answer.

In a word, yes. The 3.5mm mini to RCA male cable should be all you need.

Just make sure you tithe to Church of ALPA prior to making any drastic purchases...and don't forget your backpack and hair gel. :)

All in good fun...

Interesting how Rez chose the Regional Board for this question.

Hmmm. :D

Well he knows this place is where the young studs with time on their hands are...

When we're not running through the forest naked we're programming TVs!

I can't believe you guys. Using the TV for iPod. The hotel room is for rest, not electric stimulation. I suppose you'll want cable or something next.
Now let's see how many don't read this post to the end to find out I'm just kidding.

Wouldn't one have to carry the code guide for each brand of TV... to program the universal remote?

Most Universal remotes come with a tv/vcr/dvd programming sheet. Usually u have to try a few codes for a any given brand, but I never had a problem getting it to work

I spend as little time as possible in the hotel room. I listen to music at the bar. Ipod on the TV? Must be a 'slam-clicker'.
