Just curious what newhire rates really are. I know the website to get rates, but heard rumor of a new MOU with American and wondered how that will affect new hires in the 1st and 2nd years especially on the E-190 since that is most junior. Just curious as I try to weigh all the options on the table.

Second year on the E190 will be roughly 57/hr on 01/01/14. But considering the current rate of hiring, small fleet size of the E190, and the one year seat lock (at airways anyway: not sure if that changes after POR), you can bid to a group 2 plane at the end of your first year with no problem. It seems less than half of the new hires are going to the Embraer anyway. I don't have the group 2 2014 pay rate in front of me but I believe it's roughly 86/hr.

It's $84/hour next year for Group 2 airplanes.

Parker asked USAPA to take Delta rates now if we sign a 5 year deal. Devil/details - we'll see if any traction occurs.

There are 2012 hires holding group one captain. So, 2nd year pay is will be starting at $113 + an hour for those guys. Not too bad! Breaking 100 grand on 2nd yr pay.....

anyone know how the seniority snapshot works ? Some people are saying its from feb 14th and other people say its when the merger is final.

I'm not sure but I think the 14th was the "snapshot".

The snapshot has been put on hold pending the approval of my giant steel cage match seniority solution.

Build a gian steel cage. Put all AMR, Us Air and AWA pilots into it. When the horn sounds it's every man for himself. First guy to tap out gets seniority number last till the last guy standing and he gets seniority number 1.

..or we could hold the worlds largest beer pong tournament. Winners advance by bracket system to determine seniority. I'm in talks with the Feds to suspend the 8 hour rule for players on reserve during tournament competition.

I got money on the AWA guys. They are younger so I think they hold an advantage in the cage. They also have proven they know how to drink, although not necessarily how to not get caught.
