I called DL reservations last week to list myself on a flight. I got some Indian guy that I could barely understand. If I had been paying for the flight (and not nonreving) I would have hung up the phone. Looks like Parker is right. I wonder how much business this has cost DL.

I love how bad business decisons are spun as a mere change in perspective. This is hugely indicative of the chasm between the harsh reality flight ops decision making and the winsome words that cascade down from the ivory tower:

'It's going to be a little worse service, but so much (less) money,' " Parker said. "Now we look at it and say, "It's going to be a little more money but much better service."

Yeah, we used to say "crashing into a mountain," but now we look at it and say, "It's really an unscheduled, complementary hiking trip with rather high maintenance and reforestation costs and an incrementally elevated incidental passenger mortality rate."
