US Air HR said back in December 2011 that they were hiring 50 for the Spring and then hiring would start back up in the Summer. Sounds to me like nothing has changed at all. This thread is baseless.

Than why did u.s airways close their pilot application on their website. Not taking any new applications for now. Current existing applications will still remain in the system. MY rumor was from the CP in CLT. They would start hiring 50/month in December but hey who knows what is going to happen, wish everyone the best.

15 east 737s will be retired by the end of the year. They're being replaced by 12 A321s. At that point, we will be at the fleet minimum.

It never ends.

Brocckktapp my sincere apologizes, thank you sir for your sarcastic cynicism, very polite of you sir.

Then who is the CP in CLT? Initials please.

If things get bad enough, I wouldn't count on our fleet mins. The company would do whatever it would take.
For management, "bad enough" means "good enough". IMO, US needs the cover of BK in order to merge and keep the slashed costs in place until the merger expenses are covered. So when you see the new American livery, thank a pilot. He paid for it.

Well, if it get's good enough for management, we're hosed. If we get tied up with AA, it won't just be AA pilots paying for it.
