Nobody on furlough at AWA, unless something has changed in the last week.

No furlough. What we did have was a reduction bid due to a surplus of B737 Capts. But they were all able to hold onto their seat postions in the A320 and B757 according to the mock bid that was posted.

To add:

USAir (East) recalled 55 pilots to cover the flying caused by three 757s being added to the fleet. Per the Transition Agreement all additional aircraft flying is to be split between East and West. How this will happen remains to be determined by mutual agreement otherwise by expedited arbitration. Additional hiring (recalling, that is) is planned this Fall for both sides due to E190s arriving and additional flying hours in 2007.

Not quite; the Laws of Physics tend to break down in a black hole. So I guess that makes it all subject to change.;)

Not quite; you just need to replace Newtonian physics with quantum physics. The Grand Unifying Theory will cover it all ... someday.

I forgive your error; being based in Vegas must be mushing your brain. :D

Ummmmm, I thought this was supposed to be about flyin and stuff.

I knew that Communications Major was a waste of money :D.

I also heard from a few different sources that there maybe 70-75 mainline recalls this summer. Anyone else here this?
