US Air Pilots: Co To Create Hybrid Network To Boost Rev
Friday February 20, 10:00 am ET
By Elizabeth Souder, Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--The union that represents pilots flying for US Airways Group Inc. (NasdaqNM:UAIR - News) said airline executives presented a plan Thursday to boost revenue by creating a network that includes flights to and from hubs, as well as non-stop flights between other destinations.

On its Web site Friday, the Air Line Pilots Association (News - Websites) representing US Air pilots said US Airways is calling the idea its "Plan Going Forward."

"The Plan Going Forward would involve participation by all parties to create a hybrid of both hub-and-spoke and point-to-point flying to address the ongoing revenue shortfall," the pilots' union said on the Web site.
