I just read somewhere that just recently the USAF and South Korean Air Force particapated in one of the very rare Joint training excerse.

Could anyone (Magnum) add some input to this as this kinda seems like a totally different approach we take when it comes to training with our NATO allies during REFORGER or other war games past present and future.

Then article went on to explain that even the pilots of the 8th Fighter wing where excited to actually train with the ROKAF as this doesnt happen too often.

I would have assumed that the USAF 8th and 35th wing in Korea would train regulerly with the ROKAF units like we train with the British or other NATO Air Forces since Korea is the last elements of the Cold War?

Careful!

Let's be careful about answering these types of posts. Perhaps the inquiry to start this thread was legit, but that level of detail goes far beyond a casual interest in the USAF.

Moderators, perhaps a sticky at the top of this forum urging some discretion and OPSEC might be warranted.

yes, I'm probably way too paranoid, but...

This is the internet, and the bad guys are smart.
