What do you guys and gals think about the PDT MEC? Was I right to turn down the rates on the LTP that we "might" get or should they have put them to a vote from the PDT pilots?

I think that it's good to stand up to the company... the FO rates suck! How long do we have to keep gettin sh#t on here?? 6 yrs to upgrade on a prop... come on

Plus there is no airplane order, we have jet payrates too... big fricken deal!

I agree that we should have voted them down. 177 million dollar profit this qtr. So why can't we fly Large Props for Horizon rates?????

I agree with Jelly, after all these years of being lied too and treated like red headed step children we need to get long overdue respect.

Is ther going to be a MX day for PDT on the 30th? In protest to the flough and all the crap we have put up with? Why not get with PSA and form a union? We Both want the same thing and are both getting our strings pulled by the same people. We need to join together if we want what we paid for.

Well said!! That profit is not your moneythough! It's Parker's beer stash!

On behalf of our passengers and the industry, we should hold ourselves to high standards at all times. This includes making sure the airplane is in an airworthy condition at all times. Been flying here for 2.5 years, but it never hurts to refresh ourselves on things to look for on the Dash during a preflight, to be shared with the newer guys as well.

Check to be sure all latches are closed on the engines cowls.
All screws are in on the leading edges. (Actually found two missing recently)
Brake pins aren't worn down too low.
Safety wires properly secured on the trim wheels.
HSI select carrot can NOT be burnt out.
Many more I know, but here is a start.

Remember to fly safe at all times. Pilots aren't authorized to replace screws or tape the Dash back together anymore.

I thought it was always a MX day for PDT with our 25 year old birds. As for Flowthru, don't forget to get your online app done by Nov.2

PDT Pilots will start showing up in the March 08 Class.

So be sure to study hard for a interview at a company that you already work for!

Also on a flowback, do the mainline guys have to be interviewed to work for PDT????

I just say we bring this airline to a screeching halt. We grow a pair and start writing stuff up like Sherick in MDT, we start sticking to our contract, don't pick up any open time, and fly at 163 knots just incase we hit "any unexpected turbulence". Either way we'll get what we want..... the end of Pissmont or maybe they'll give us some kind of future here!!

I hear ya. But Horizon only has 10 bid periods a year. We have 12. If you figure yearly pay on the guarantee we would make more. But who cares I want more MONEY too.

Over

...also....
-The PTU select must have a clear cover over it.
-If you have ever noticed those red dots on the tires, they must line up with the valve stem.
-Many of the windshields have air bubbles between the laminations, these bubbles can not extend more than 2 (two) inches from the edge of the windshield.
-Prop RPM must be no higher than 920 RPM when condition levers are brought back to the stops in flight.

Valient Piedmont Pilot:
Hey, MX control? This is Bob in 940HA. Our Fun-O-Meter seems to be reading below 0.

Salisbury: umm....

VPP: I can't find it in the MEL, so I was wondering if it's even defferable?

S:....

VPP: Alright well I'm going to grab something to eat with my crew, go ahead and call me when you get contract MX out here.
