Anyone else hear that Robert Martens quit?

I think he was only here for 1 year. Guess he could take only so much of the Express mess.

US Airways Names Dion Flannery President, US Airways Express
Friday January 25, 1:51 pm ET
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Airways (NYSE: LCC - News) today announced that US Airways executive Dion Flannery, currently vice president, financial analysis, has been named president of US Airways Express. Flannery, 41, succeeds Robert Martens, who has announced his retirement from the airline. In his new role, Flannery will be responsible for oversight of US Airways’ wholly owned regional carriers, Piedmont and PSA Airlines, as well as the seven regional affiliates that currently operate as US Airways Express. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Robert Isom.
“Dion is an extremely capable executive whose analytical expertise and airline route planning and scheduling background provide the perfect combination to lead our Express team,” said Isom. “We couldn’t be more pleased to expand Dion’s role and look forward to his leadership as we work towards improved reliability and convenience for our customers. We are also very grateful to Bob Martens, who came out of retirement to lend his expertise to our airline and establish a firm foundation for our Express division to build upon.”
Martens, an airline industry veteran, joined US Airways in 2007 to evaluate strategies and future options for Express, direct the wholly owned regional subsidiaries Piedmont and PSA, improve performance, coordination and cooperation with Express partners, as well as identify a successor to continue that work longer term. “Bob has achieved what he was brought here to do and he is ready to turn over the reins to a successor,” Isom said.
Martens will remain with US Airways for a transition period to assist Flannery in his new role as vice president in the US Airways organization and president of US Airways Express. The presidents of PSA and Piedmont, Keith Houk and Steve Farrow, respectively, will report to Flannery.
Flannery joined America West Airlines in 2002 as vice president, route planning and scheduling. He became vice president, financial analysis in 2005. He began his career in 1993 at Continental Airlines, where he served in a variety of capacities including senior director, long-range schedule planning and charters.

He wanted out but is staying on for transition, so he cut a deal with the company likely paying him a nice big chunk to stay on till the FNG is up to speed.

Good for him!

Sounds like a demotion for Dion Flannery to me?

Guess Robert couldn't deal with the nonsense and craziness of the Piedmont and Psa management.

Why does US Air keep the dayton headquarters?
Seems like they have too many chiefs and not enough indians.
I guess that is why i make crap $$$. I'm just not managment material...

As for the suits in Dayton walking around. What do you think the chances of them staying at the Dayton Airport Inn? Ha Ha Ha Ha...then feed them at wilbers....HA HA ha

Oh god i need a life....
