So for the last few weeks Ive been noticing a few CRJ's in airways colors parked over on the GA ramp (Atlantic Aviation). Anybody know what airline they belong to? At first I thought it was just overflow parking but now that it has been snowing out here for the past 3 days, those planes haven't moved an inch and are buried in snow. To me it seems like they are in storage... Any ideas?

I was through PHL last week and the other old man and I are pretty sure they are Mesa's. Though I have never known Mesa to hold planes out of revenue service.

Are they ex-Midway aircraft? The Midway aircraft are still tied up in bankruptcy---and therefore cannot be flown---I believe.

Confirmed....

They are midway birds.... They should be in service within the next month or so supposedly...

Funny note: at the Mesa seasonal party, there was a list forming of folks who wanted to buy computers/moniters for 200 bucks and laser printers for 50 bucks... They too were aquired midway assets... It was funny to see that...

As an update.... looks like those CRJ's were moved from the fbo ramp within the last week. Wonder who is flying them now? Mesa?

the eight midway CRJs were purchased by mesa as well as a few options and some other assets.

Those aircraft are gradually making there way to mesa mx hangars to get checked out and added to the operating certificate.

there are a few USair RJs at the hangar in phx. they could be the ones that you are refering.

All eight should be in circulation for USairways in the next month or two.

If the tail ends in ML, it's ex-Midway now Mesa. We're cycling them to PHX for compliance inspections, then they sit awaiting service.
