Can someone please tell me if US AIR will take an offline jumpseater to the Caribbean? Thank you very much!!

My understanding is that they will take OL JS to carribean destinations, provided you've paid the applicable taxes and provide the receipt to the gate agent when signing up.

Have fun!

I agree with dlredline -- go to the ticket counter at least two hours prior to departure to pay the international airport taxes.

The ticket agent will give you a "ticket" which will allow the TSA to let you pass through security. This "ticket"will also let the gate agent know that you have paid the taxes, and that your "docs" (ie. passport) are OK.

Save this "ticket". If you don't get on the flight, you will need it to get your taxes refunded.

Have fun, and good luck!

I used them prior to 9-11 and I had zero problems. Went from Charlotte to Grand Cayman. Really nice and very non rev friendly.....

I jumpseated both ways from PHL-STT last summer on US. Great treatment by the crews, first class also. I think they also serve most Caribbean destinations out of CLT so it is a handy backup to get home.
