Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Going to Montego Bay for 4 days and need help.

Handling- who with? contact numbers? how much $$$?

Landing Permit Required for Jamaica? I know I need one for Cuba overflight as I'm launching out of S. Florida.

Best hotel for the $$$? A buddy stayed at the Ritz Carlton years ago and said he got a good deal. Anybody stayed there lately?

To all my amigos out there that have any info and reply, Thank you in advance!!!

To be honest with you, as it appears that this is your first trip to Jamaica, call an handling agency such as Universal, Base Ops, Jeppsen, etc.

It will cost a little more than doing all of the work yourself, but it will be money well spent.

We were there in March of 04. We stayed at Breezes, an all inclusive resort. It was OK, but not perfect. It was the only resort we could find that would take singles without having to share a room. We figured the cost was less than a hotel plus meals. Handling was by Universal. Their agent there is really good and took care of everything. There is no FBO, so it was a huge help for him to arrange fuel etc. PM me if you need more info.

We're there 6 times a year....Jamaican Dispatch is who I deal with. Call Ryan or O'Neil and they will take care of everything. Now, if you're going to go through AirRouting for the Cuban Overflight (and I highly recommend you do), have them set up your customs and immigration with Jamaican Dispatch (JDS).

Get fuel when you arrive. If you show for departure and it's an airline-push, you will be absolutely DEAD LAST for fuel. There is ONLY airline fuel at the airport. No FBO.

Hotels....The Ritz is nice, and some times you can get great rates. Number one on my list is the Rose Hall Resort. It's just down from the Ritz. It's tops for me since the hotel sits on a massive property...old sugar cane plantation...and encompasses both sides of the road, with a tunnel. Two golf course, etc...you can go for a 10 mile run and never leave the property. If you try to run on the road, you'll get killed.

Have fun.
