Hi,
Open question to anyone at UPS.....

How often are the 75/76 reserves getting flown out of ONT ?

Can a pilot bid "Last out" reserve if he/she didn't want to fly that often ? Or is it a FIFO deal.?

Just wondering,
Thanks

I have another UPS ONT question: I need a crash pad in ONT this summer, where can I find some listings? Thanks

No, a pilot can't do that. At UPS reserve order is now based on TAFB (a RADAR list ) not FIFO. Also ups can and will take crewmembers out of RADAR order (TAFB) for reasons like currency. ie, say for landing currency "you need a landing in the next 60 days so we are taking you out of RADAR order" in pilot speak it really means " you have the days and we don't want to send out two pilots" I think cross dom reserve is now also authorized.

Don't know how busy Reserve is in ONT

Others might disagree, but personally I'd say if you want to fly (save "crashpad" money if you stay at hotel) do NOT bid reserve C, they seem to fly the least in ONT. Reserve A is probably used the most followed by B.
A/ 12AM - 12PM local
B/ 12PM - 12AM local
C/ 4PM - 4AM local
