Not anymore :)

I guess they realized that the slots would go back out to bid since they are not transferable, in other words if the PO name goes away so does the route authority.

Heard that UPS is trying to buy Polar, to get their Asia routes.

You didn't just hear that recently did you??? This rumor is older than dirt and it won't die because people keep hoping it comes true. Don't hold your breath.

FWIW, I'm not holding mine. As I posted on the other thread, UPS is the best at keeping secrets. If a rumor is being discussed before any official announcement has been made, odds are strong that the rumor is just that, a rumor.

Everybody relax and don't lose any sleep over this. I don't think it is going to happen.

I heard that Atlas will be making a bid for UPS and has the backing of Kingfisher in India.

The guy is worth billions, like the Virgin CEO and is related to the Atlas founder. It was reported on CNN World Business Asia that he will be making a bid to buy UPS soon.

The UPS guys don't have too much to worry about, being put on the bottom of the seniority list, since Atlas and Polar are much smaller than UPS.

Old rumors get dull fast. Somebody needs to start some new rumors.

It should be a little of the wall, but still plausible. And it should strike at peoples' deepest fears and insecurities and scare the crap out of them.

Another Good Rumour
