I have been doing it going from SDF to YYZ (Toronto). No problems, and customs in YYZ is very easy.

Is YYZ considered international for JS purposes? Also, do you work for UPS?

It's no secret, unless there has been some act of god take place, but there is no int'l JS on UPS or FedEx for off line pilots.

Yes, I work for UPS and it's considered international. Also, I always end up on UAL going outbound from YYZ and pay a "tax" of approx $31 USD.

Well, what does that do as far as answering the guys question? I read it as where are we at as far as jumpseating on UPS to get to international destinations? The answer is the same, no international JS'ing on UPS for off line pilots.

If he is asking if UPS pilots can JS international, then of course, the answer is yes. Although UPS cannot reciprocate in this area. Yeah, I know it has to do with some requirement that you guys fall under that Polar/Atlas/Gemini/Southern/Kalitta/Evergreen don't for some reason.

Okay, I see now. I didn't know we don't carry offline to international destinations. Like everything else it takes work. I would suggest contacting the IPA Jumpseat committee through your in house jumpseat folks and see if there is any progress to report or expect.

This was on the internal UPS forum (Bar and Grill) a few months ago. According to one of our union jumpseat coordinators, right now the TSA won't allow offline jumpseaters to sit in the cockpit of a 121 carrier internationally. That is supposed to change by year's end. UPS are 121. Not sure if Polar/Atlas and the rest are 121's.

Hope this helps.

Polar is a 121 flag carrier, no cockpit door, and we take international offline jumpseaters all the time, even pre-cass
I'm curious as well why UPS and FEDEX can't
