I am filling out the UPS online app and wondering for the cover letter submittal, who and where should it be addressed? Is there a pilot recruiter or a chief pilot that would work best? Tried a search for previous posts and no results matched my question, so if you can then thanks in advance.

It's an online cover letter so it does not need an address. Write it to Dear Sir/Ma'am, but do not worry too much about it. Make it brief, but long enough to outline your background, experience, etc. It will not even be read by anyone unless you have the prerequisite recommendation from a mgt person (pilot or nonpilot) or several from line pilots.

Good luck and get your app in because I bet we'll be hiring a good bit this summer, especially if we get a TA this month.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what'a a TA? and What's a DB?

I've had my application in for a while now, but no news yet. Hopefully the manager I used to work for 10+ years ago (which BTW I saw two weeks ago) would do something and help. I have two recommendations already, I'm trying to use the management part of "Networking". Does anybody knows who will be the right people (at HR) for a manager to send an e-mail to?
Any help, greatly appreciated...

TA is a tentaive agreement. It pertains to the contract negotiations between the UPS pilots union, which is the IPA (Independent Pilots Association), and UPS. Once a TA is reached the UPS pilots will vote whether to accept it as a contract or reject it in the hope of something better.

DB? I've only heard of that in regards to SWA. At SWA they use a decision board to decide whom to hire.

Thanks L'il J
Hopefully I'll have a shot to an interview.
