As dumb as it sounds, I can only assume what the difference between the different options for FE are. The App has 3 choices, I have an FE ticket, no restritions, and I believe I am in the FEX column, not FEB or FEJ. Anyone out there know for sure. I did it on the 727 at my old job. Hate to select the wrong one.

I know that FEX refers to the "Turbojet and Basic" Flight Engineer written exam. Here is a link to a table describing all the test type abbreviations: www.catstest.com/html/applicants/faa/flight_engineer.html . If you already have a FE rating, there should be a different option on the application to note that experience. I have not personally seen that application in a while, so I may be mistaken. If there is no other way to note your posession of a FE "ticket", you might consider marking that you have a current FEX exam. It is easy to explain that you already are a qualified engineer with a license when you put together the paperwork for an interview. There were several previously qualified FEs in my new hire class. Their checkride was considered a PC check rather than a rating ride. There must have been a way for them to document their previous experience on the application. Good luck!
