what is the difference at ups with an app that says: on-file and one that says active.
i applied in december under second officer, app says active.
re-applied wed 1-17 this week and the app says on-file and i cannot update it, it says nothing is needed with the app?
what am i missing, what did i hose up?

From the UPS Chief Pilot Info Line:

>>If you know anyone who applied for a Flight Officer position with UPS in 2006, please inform them that they must re-visit the upsjobs.com website and complete a new application for 2007.

Job applicants who have already been placed in the hiring pool do not need to re-apply or update on-line. They will continue to be considered for future class dates. All previously submitted Pilot Referral Forms have been maintained and it is NOT necessary to re-submit another recommendation for those candidates you may have referred for employment consideration. <<

Larry, I started my app on 12/30 and finished it on 1/3/07, It says second officer active. I check the website a couple of times a day and can not find the 2007 application, where did you find it?

Thanks, D

I found the new app on the site (searched Air Operations, found Flight Officer) on the 17th. It was the first time I'd seen it on there since about the 2nd. It's there one day and gone the next. No idea what's going on, but it seems as though you have to check for it daily, and immediately fill one out when it's there.
