Say you upgrade in 4 years at NetJets, do you go to 4 yr Captain pay or back to first yr Captain pay. Plus when are they planning of hiring into DFW

According to the latest seniority list, the newest new hires (Aug 8th) are going to all 5 bases.

You would go to 5 year capt pay, $106,813., if you upgraded the day you hit 4 years with the company.

Just a small note - NJABound is correct that you would be at 5th year pay but the number he has above is true only if you bid reserve. If you bid the 7/7 then that number drops to $90,000 - still not too shabby.

Hey Twotter, I think it's the other way around, you default to reserve pay, it's up to you to bid the 7 and 7, or get bumped off it, that's the way I understand it anyway.

Hmmm. You are right and wrong. It is true that you will be on the reserve schedule in the quarter that you upgrade. However, the default schedule is the 7/7. Theoretically, if you never bid, you will be awarded a (any) 7/7 line. A bid must be put in to remain on the reserve schedule.

To add to what cavpilot said, a pilot wanting to remain on the reserve schedule must bid the reserve every quarter or be assigned a 7/7 line. So you don't just bid once to get a reserve line: it's an ongoing requirement.
