I have a chance to be hired by my university as a CFI, CFII, MEI. I have done all of my training here and like it. Would this be a good way to build some time? Would I get a good amount of multi time? We have about 500 flight students here. Thanks :D

yep IMHO

Fl350....i know at my univ. the benefits are great...the hours are ok and the CP and Assists. are all great. I hope to work at mine after i gradumatate in the spring! If yours offers similar..id jump on it if you think youd like instructing. My too sense.

I did the university instructor thing after I graduated. I really enjoyed the chance to have a job where I went to school. Still had all my friends around and I was building fligh time.

The only downside for me was the summer flying. That was rather weak. It was hard to convince a student to stay for the summer. Had to get a second job.

The only thing I could warn of is being trapped. You are in a place you very comfortable and there is a chance you might lose your drive to move on. Maybe that isn't the case at your university.

I really enjoyed my time instructing at college. If I had to do it again I would do it again.
