Lots of sites will give you seats available including Kayak, ExpertFlyer, and others. You'll need to monitor the loads right up to the day of the flight.

They only show seats not yet allocated. They may be sold, just not assigned. You could try Polar out of Narita if you are in a pinch or run out of options. Good luck!

I thought Kayak shows the number of seats for sale but I could be wrong.

Even if they show the number for sale it doesn't mean much since airlines like to oversell their flights at times.
