• 1000 hours Multi-engine time (PIC) or Military fighter/trainer (PIC).
 • 500 hours Turbine Time.
 • 100 hours flown in the past year (Recency of experience).
 • Current FCC license.

Actually, it was Monday at 0017 Central time.

How many guys from ASA are going to apply?

(How far up the list will this possibly take me? :) )

Well, even though they probably have 10,000 applications by now, they're only hiring 100 pilots. I doubt that many will be ASA...

Probably true. In the current hiring market, though, it seems like when an airline says that it needs 100, that usually means that it will need at least 200. By the end of the month. If not sooner.

Look at the pay, why? Do you think the future is bright just like everyone did in the late 90's. Now look at them.

1000 MEL PIC? So the average Joe actually has to be a Captain at at regional first? I can't believe they have the audacity to ask for that kind of experience!

Thanks for saying what most of us have been thinking while people whine about the requirement.

With 10,000 RJ pilots out there ready for a new job, why WOULDN'T UAL move to eliminate the excess applications from people who probably won't get the job, but wanted to "put one in there just in case"?

If you're a chick, you're in. If your Daddy was a UAL pilot, you're in. If you were an intern, you are in. If you are just a Regional Scumbag, no need to apply.

What about previous Interns? I did an internship there. Anyone know the mins...

Mins for interns are the same for everyone else. Just had a friend of mine (also an intern) apply yesterday and they make no exception for former interns.

why would you want to fly for this hell hole? They're about to ask their dispatchers for more money, then come full circle to the pilots...again.

Now, just a second there, professor. That isn't 1000 Turbine PIC. Daddy's Seminole will still do just fine for Peggy. I can't believe they actually raised their mins from 350 TT or whatever the ridiculous number was. I see a discrimination suit over this within a month.

No thanks...

Thank you for pointing out UAL's many shortcomings. Now please, please, do not attempt to apply. We got enuf tools here already!
