United has a contract in place with ACA, and only United can break it under chap 11. That is a good thing for UAL, it will give them time to faze in flying by their other express carriers over the next several months. All they really have to do is have their new carriers in place before they come out of bankruptcy and then dump ACA, at which time ACA would be free to move ahead with their plans. I think you will see Air Wisconsin picking up more and more flights back their, SkyWest will move further East, add in Mesa and Trans States, and I think they will get it covered.
It will be interesting to see how ACA does. That CASM is going to be a tough one for them. If they are successfull you could see a few more regionals having a go later on.
