UAL Ground Handlers?

What's going on with the baggage handlers at Denver? I boarded a severely delayed flight (5 hours) and after boarding the airplane for departure, it took an hour and a half to load bags. The Captain took the initiative to talk to the handlers. She did a fine job of updating our departure time, but it looked like an intentional work slow down (IMHO).

I paid for a first class seat on this leg too, so I was extremely disgusted.
