for what it's worth I talked to council 12 ORD rep and was told a combined contract assuming UAL work rules would add about 1000 pilots and all furloughs would be back much soon er than later both CAL and UAL. BOTH sides must stand firm to get us back in the right direction...take no $hi@ from management.


Exactly! I expect a significant increase in pay, retirement, and benefits. If not they can close the doors.

Smisek said on the call that the DAL pilot contract offer is still on the table. Looks like that is what they may have done in regard to pilot costing for the merged entity. Also 2 seats reserved for labour on the BOD.

Who puts more of a cap on productivity United or Southwest? Yet who is more apt to hire and has faster captain upgrades United or Southwest? Beware of the unintended consequences of productivity caps in a contract.
