Hi. Are there any hotels in the TYS (Knoxville, TN) area that give an airline crew discount? I'm planning on going to a Univ of TN football game there next month and was wondering about cheap places to stay on a Saturday night. Thanks.

The Hilton at the airport. That's where we stay on overnights. Not sure what the rate is, but it's a nice place.

Headed over to see my alma mater (Louisiana Tech) play the Vols on September 25th. Thanks for the suggestions on hotels. I called the Hilton Knoxville Airport (that's where us Eagle crews stay as well....although I don't just yet because I'm a Saab pilot), and their rate was 79 bucks for the night. The Hampton Inn was 10 bucks more even with the airline discount. I ended up finding a place about 5 miles north of downtown (Sleep Inn....but it's new so it shouldn't be too bad yet) for 59 bucks though. Any of you Vols fans have tips on parking on campus for a game in Knoxville?

The best thing about the airport Hilton? The bar is in the center and rooms and windows surround it. The other night we're having drinks and Comair comes in. A few minutes later, a room light goes on and there's the F/A wearing a smile. Bartender says it happens all the time.
